Control when customers can book by configuring booking windows, business hours, and capacity settings for each service.

Booking Window Settings

Accessing Settings

Navigate to Listings → Select Service → Edit → "Booking Window Settings"

Key Settings

Minimum Advance Notice Hours

  • How many hours in advance customers must book
  • Example: 24 hours prevents same-day bookings

Maximum Advance Booking Days

  • How far into the future customers can book
  • Example: 30 days limits bookings to one month ahead

Business Hours Configuration

Set when your services are available for booking. You can configure different hours for each day and create split shifts for lunch breaks.

Tips:

  • Different services can have different business hours
  • Leave days blank to indicate closure
  • Non-business hours appear grayed out to customers

Capacity Modes

Choose how to manage booking capacity for each service:

Number-Based Capacity

Best for: Group services (classes, tours, events)

  • Set maximum number of customers per time slot
  • Example: Fitness class with 20-person limit

Staff-Based Capacity

Best for: Personal services (consultations, appointments)

  • Availability depends on assigned staff schedules
  • Customers book with specific staff members
  • Must assign at least one staff member to the service

Calendar Blocks

Create blocks to prevent bookings during specific times:

Store Closure Block: Block entire location (no staff assigned) Staff Block: Block specific staff member (assign to that staff)

Calendar Views

Week View: Overview of 7 days with drag-and-drop rescheduling Day View: Detailed 24-hour view of single day

Both views show:

  • Current time indicator (red line, today only)
  • Grayed-out non-bookable slots
  • Interactive booking creation

Recommended Settings

Service Businesses: 2-4 hours minimum notice, 60-90 days maximum advance Appointment-Based: 24 hours minimum notice, 30-60 days maximum advance Classes/Events: 1-2 hours minimum notice, 3-6 months maximum advance

Troubleshooting

Customers can't book available times:

  • Check business hours settings
  • Verify minimum advance notice isn't too restrictive
  • Ensure no conflicting calendar blocks

Overbooking issues:

  • Review capacity settings
  • Check staff assignments and availability
  • Verify booking duration settings
